Romeo is both impulsive and passionate, these traits lead to his downfall as well as that of others. In William Shakespeare’s, “Romeo and Juliet,” Romeo is both directly and indirectly responsible for all six deaths within the play. While he only physically killed three people, including himself, the deaths of Mercutio, Tybalt, Paris, Juliet, Lady Montague, and his own can all be traced back to actions or events involving him. His impulsive actions lead to not only his own banishment, but it also leads to two peoples’ deaths. Romeo’s passion also leads to a lustful crush, a mistake marriage, another bad plan, and the rest of the deaths in the play.
