One of Romeo’s character traits is he is influential to other people within the story.
A character that Romeo greatly influences is his best friend Mercutio. Mercutio is influenced by Romeo because he is determined to stick up for his friend. He shows this when Tybalt threatens Romeo, and he is determined to fight off Tybalt, because he knows that Romeo is a lover and not a fighter, and will probably lose the fight. (Act 2,scene 4, 9) “A challenge on my life,” Mercutio says when he hears about the challenge.
