Romeo and Juliet died due to Romeo, the Bubonic Plague, and Lord Capulet. Romeo’s impulsive actions caused the deaths of himself and his lover, Juliet. The Bubonic Plague caused miscommunication that led to the end of their lives, as well. Finally, Lord Capulet eventually killed his daughter and his son in-law. These three things are main factors contributing to the lovers’ deaths. Romeo contributed to the death of himself and his lover. Romeo would not have been banished to Mantua if he had not killed Tybalt in a fit of rage. The Prince declares, “And for that crime, Romeo is hereby exiled from Verona. (Shakespeare, Act 3 Scene 1)” This could reveals that the crime could also be seen as the prince’s fault, because he punished Romeo
