The theme of the story Romeo and Juliet is "The power of Love." This is because two individuals meet each other at a party and start to fall in love with one another. Their love is unacceptable because their parents are against them meeting because of the hatred between the two.The two rivaling families are called the Montagues and Capulets. Romeo and Juliet believe that their love could possible bring together their two families and live in peace with each other.

The theme "The power of Love" is one of the top cliches among the themes. This theme is most common throughout the history of the English language. Our two lovers, disobey their family, because Romeo and Juliet love each other so much that they would risk everything to see
