Romeo And Juliet Pardoned Analysis

At the end of the play Romeo and Juliet, the Prince tell the Montagues and the Capulets that some of them will be punished and some of them will be pardoned. Many of the people who are to blame are dead, but the people who are still alive will be pardoned or punished for there actions involving the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
The person I blame the most is Friar Lawrence, he is the one who should be punished the most. The theme that goes along with his actions are the individual against society. The Friar knew the entire time about Romeo and Juliet the entire time, yet he kept it a secret. His actions affected the end of the play, if he would not have married the two the two would not have died. The first reason is that he is selfish. Friar Lawrence’s motive is not the same as Romeo and Juliet's best interests, but in his own selfish hope to end the ancient grudge between the two families. Also he kept the marriage a secret from the entire city of Verona. The second thing that the Friar did is being an irresponsible adult. First he gave a potion to Juliet, an unstable 14 year old, that would make her look dead. He did this just so Juliet would not have to marry Paris and he would not have the blame for marry her to two people. Also he trusted a different Friar to get the

First off they killed themselves so obviously they are to blame the most. Although they are dead they are still to blame. Many people think that they are innocent but innocent people don't murder others and commit suicide. The first reason is one of the themes. Love as a cause of violence is a huge part for the two of them. If they would not have met at the party and fell in ‘love’ then the two would not have died. They got married the next day without really knowing anything besides their family names. The next reason is that they killed themselves for each other. If they did not kill themselves they could have waited for someone to help
