Obviously, in Freshman Survey we read Romeo and Juliet. Throughout the entire story, I was always thinking about different interpretations of things and how I figured Romeo thought, acted, and who he was as a person. I didn’t want to do the traditional 5 scene, movie, drawing, or anything else that many people were doing. I wanted it to be unique. Also, I really enjoy trying to relate to characters and understanding how characters/real people think. Considering everything I just stated, I think it clearly shows why I would pick a diary for my project. I chose to write my diary from Romeo’s perspective because I felt that because he was a boy, I could relate much more to him. I have a couple friends like Romeo. He is an interesting character in the way he thinks. He gets attached easily and forgets quite easily. Romeo can go from completely being in love to hating everyone to marrying a completely new person in about two days. Though this project was hard, it was …show more content…
First being that I am not artistic whatsoever, so writing in cursive and drawing that thing that was intended to resemble a heart was quite difficult for me. Because of this, I chose to leave more art out just for the sake of it looking worse, but I now know I obviously shouldn’t have done that. I would say I am satisfied with my project, but I surely could have done better. If I were to have done it over again I would have started earlier, done more art drawings in the book, and maybe use more purple than I did because for being Romeo’s diary, it was quite bright I think. I started with five days left before the due date. That was manageable, but not as much time as I wanted to have. I couldn’t decide if I should have done a diary or a five scene poster. I’m definitely glad I did the diary though because I don’t think it’s been done yet, and if it has, not very many people have, so it was much more
