Juliet Capulet never pictured herself getting married, but after she fell in love, the true love she shared with Romeo, Juliet changed her mind. When Lady Capulet asked Juliet how she felt about marriage, Juliet said “It is an honor that I dream not of”, which means Juliet never thought of getting married. However, later in the story, Juliet uses the metaphor “I have bought the mansion of a love, but not possessed it, and though I am sold, not yet enjoyed.” Juliet loves Romeo truly, but they have not yet married. Juliet also told Friar Lawrence, “And before I am married to another man, I will kill myself” this means Juliet doesn’t want to marry Paris because she is married to Romeo, and she doesn’t love Paris, she loves Romeo.
