Romeo And Juliet Essay Thesis

Have you ever loved someone your parents did not approve of? In the story Romeo and Juliet this is exactly what happened. The two are in a very sticky situation, because their two families are enemies, but Romeo and Juliet love each other. In the end the love for one another is so strong that it ends up killing both of them. In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, we learn that telling lies or hiding the truth is acceptable for the right reasons like hiding the fact you love your enemy, places you have been, and why you do not want to marry someone. The biggest problem for Juliet in the story, is she is in love with Romeo and his family, Capulets, are Juliet’s families, Montagues, biggest enemy. This relates to the story, because the story is about two people who love each other, and because of their family name they can not be outspoken about their love. I swear it will be Romeo, whom you know I hate, rather than Paris (3.5.121-23).
Juliet loved Romeo so much that she made up things just so she did not marry Paris, whom she did not like. Juliet would rather kill herself than to marry Paris. Other than loving her enemy Juliet, she also lied about places she had been before her wedding. Through Romeo and Juliet we also learn many more important things that we can remember for our whole lives. One of the things that we learn, is that we should always follow our hearts and not listen to outsiders, because what are hearts tell us is the right decision. We also learn to not be afraid to take a chance in life. There might be a bunch of risk behind the chance, but in the end it might pay off in the long
