Intro: There are many themes in Romeo and Juliet. The theme I found the most important is that “love is tragic.” Love isn’t always tragic but in Romeo and Juliet it is.

Paragraph 1: Some evidence I found to support my theme, was when Mercutio was explaining Queen Mab and what she does to people who love. Mercutio warns Romeo that if he marries for love he will have a tragic and sudden death, and he marries for wealth and power his death will not be tragic. I believe that Mercutio has had an experience with Queen Mab, because when Mercutio talks about Queen Mab, he starts breaking down and going crazy. “And sometime comes she with a tithe-pig’s tail tickling a parson’s nose as he lies asleep, then he dreams of another benefice. The Friar gave a message to the friar (Where Romeo Lives) a Message to tell him that she has faked her death so that she could stay with him and be his wife. Romeos little helper went to Juliet’s funeral instead of getting the good news from the Friar he got bad news from his helper. Romeo went to see Juliet in the tomb and he saw her dead. He was already prepared to take his life so that they could be together. He drank the poison and died. A few minutes later Juliet wakes up and sees Romeo dead and finds a Dagger and stabs herself. “Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die... (5.3.5)”

Their parents had no idea they had already gotten married until both of them took their own lives. I believe if they would have told their parents from the beginning about them loving each other and thinking that if a Montague and a Capulet can fall in love then they would stop fighting. Because of the families fighting there was no way there marriage could go public without starting a

In the song the main male character sings to the woman he loves. He sings to her to tell her how fond he is of her and how a normal “I love you” won’t do the job for how much he loves her. Many characters in this play are fixated on making good judgements and doing the right thing; these urges are based on love for peace, love for someone, and wishing to help them. However, these actions ultimately lead to the tragedy at the end of the play, the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.…
