SAT 2 Essay Change. Change is the act of altering certain conditions to become either beneficial or unfavorable. Change is also what makes the world the unique and extraordinary world that it is, by changing it every second. Although change may sometimes not necessarily be needed, the world is always consistently changing, despite many bumps that may occur along the way, for the better and good for all, as seen through a myriad of examples in literature such as the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and in history after the end of World War II. For instance, in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, a young boy and girl, particularly the star-crossed lovers, are entrapped into a secret relationship due to their two family’s abhorrence of each other. The world had witnessed how deadly and devastating it was to be involved in such a global and catastrophic war that would result in the deaths of millions of people. As a result, the people of the world would now aspire towards peace to prevent such unfavorable outcomes. More treaties have been created and imperialization has been stopped between countries, shown clearly in the Cold War era after World War II. Despite both the United States and the Soviet Union were both having immense tensions with one another which could’ve resulted into nuclear war at any time, both countries took the initiative into trying to avoid it as much as possible and regarded it as the last choice if national security was invaded. As a result of this mentality, the Cold War ended abruptly when the Soviet Union broke up and the peace talks led to the end of hoarding nuclear weapons. The world had immensely learned from their atrocious and dark past of wars and chaos and was willing to work together for a much brighter future that would benefit
