The Nurse should be punished for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because she was deceitful, misleading Romeo and Juliet. The Nurse did not counsel Juliet when she saw that Juliet was in love with Romeo, a foe of her family; instead, she aids Romeo to find a way to Juliet’s room on their wedding night. She did not bother to tell Juliet’s parents what their daughter was doing; she had approved of Romeo and Juliet’s marriage despite their families’ indifference for each other. This proves the Nurse to be guilty, She is baiting Juliet into thinking that her and Romeo could spend the rest of their lives together when she knows that will never happen because of the feud. The Nurse soon changes her mind about Romeo and all men for that matter when she states “There’s no trust, / No faith, no honesty in men. All perjured, / All forsworn, all naught, all dissemblers” (3.2.92-94). The Nurse is saying how there is no trust, no faith, no honesty in men. All of them lie, cheat, and are wicked. This exemplifies how the Nurse is quick to change her mind, crazy, and deceitful. The Nurse teases Juliet with the idea of a life with Romeo. She knows they will never have a chance to grow old together because their families are enemies, the Nurse just wants to mock Juliet’s ignorance. One second she loves Romeo and is
