Demonstration of humanity: love. Love is part of the life and we accept it unwittingly. There are types of love in life. Most of the time people assume love is a feeling between two different sex, but also there are many other types of love other than “romance love”. My artwork is about that. I included several types of love and respresentative pictures which belong different types of love. We love everything around us. For example we can love nature, sky, sun, a bird. As I mentioned in the first paragraph, my artwork compares a world with love and a world with no love, the same as Fahrenheit 451 and Romeo and Juliet. Left hand side represents Romeo and Juliet, right hand side represents Fahrenheit. On the left side, there are pictures which show different types of love like in Romeo and Juliet. A father and his daughter’s picture represents love between Romeo and Lord Montegue, Juliet and Lord Capulet. A granchildren and his granparent’s picture represents the love between Juliet and Nurse, Romeo and Friar Lawerence in Romeo and Juliet. In the play, they don’t have any relationship by affinity but their relationship is similar with grandchild-grandparent relationship because of difference between ages. The picture of man who looks at the sky represent love to god. A young woman and a young man think about each other, it represents Romeo and Juliet’s endless, proverbial romance love and the two friends represent love between Romeo and Mercutio. On the left hand side of the artwork, there is a world with love and this world explains importance of love. It clearly shows love’s effect to us and things to make us to do with love just the same as with Romeo and Juliet. Like dying for each other or doing forbidden things without thinking themselves. Fahrenheit 451’s theme of “lack of love” connects with two of the sides in the artwork. Left side shows things that doesn’t appear in the loveless Fahrenheit 451 dystopia and right hand side shows things that appear in it. For example only having self-love in the world, brings just uneasiness, not happiness. Bullying, fights are the examples of uneasiness. Lack of love brings superficial relationships and relationship based on self-interest. Like in Fahrenheit 451, Montag and Mildred were okay in their relationship without having any feeling but when Montag admitted that he has books their whole
