There are many reasons why the great ancient empire of Rome fell, but one of the more impactful aspects was the military and military related affairs. Rome had over-expanded and began losing land. They held too much land in their control, and because of this, their military forces were spread too thinly. Local tribes of people and other empires quickly took over vast amounts of the Roman’s foreign conquests. They carelessly expanded and could not hold the positions that they took. Even though Romans could not keep hold of many of their territories, they spent much of their funding on the military, leaving little for public utilities and infrastructure.
