The Roman Republic fell for many different reasons. This essay will discuss three of them. Rome won all three of the Punic Wars and they gained power and control of the Mediterranean Sea. With the victories came a lot of “prizes”. Rome became the Roman Republic and it got many slaves and lots of money. This required lots of responsibility, organization, patience, and cooperation which the Republic did not have. The fall of the Roman Republic was caused by money being less valuable, having too many slaves, and Julius Caesar becoming dictator for life.
The Roman economy experienced a lot of inflation. Money became less valuable. Goods started costing a lot more. The wealthy Patricians were able to afford it, but they didn’t like that prices were
