Being that Victor was only a human he became the source with which the monster found the strength to seek revenge. Yet, even so he came to a resolution and through self analyzation saw that his unhappiness had a solution. All he wanted was to love yet, even that was not granted to him, even in that he was teased by Victor who went back on his promise. Victor does not come out of this story a victim but the slave of consequence. He knew his dark stuff what he was doing, yet he let the evil of his passion drive him to create what he should not have created. In Mary Shelley 's Frankenstein, the creature was the romantic hero. He pursued love, appreciate beauty and nature. Victor was the antagonist, who only victimized himself and never stepped up to his mistakes. He made the creatures life miserable, but despite Victor, the creature overcame all of his shortcomings and in the end, Victor dies miserable and unsatisfied with himself.
