Historians believed that the Roman Theatres that were built were mostly in areas of the empire from the time of Medieval Spain to the Middle East. The Romans had such a taste for local architecture that they influenced the designs of nowadays theatre and it is evident that Roman attributes are included. The stages were large from about 20-40 feet deep, 100-300 feet long, and it could cater for 10,000-15,000 people inside. The theatre had about 3-4 doors, they were located in the rear of the wall and one in the wings. Apart from the structure of the Roman Theatre there are a few characteristics that are there to differentiate if from Greek Theatres, a few includes: • A Skene- It is joined with the audience to form one architectural unit
