Next we move on to see if all the laws and rights were protected in Ancient Rome, if there was a grade for Rome meeting the common good of protecting rights it should deserve a low B. It would deserve a low B because they didn’t protect everyone in Rome the same. One type of person in Rome was a gladiator, gladiators didn’t get much respect at all. Gladiators had no rights they were slaves put into fights to be entertainment to the people of Rome. If a gladiator was injured or fell the crowd would decide his fate. By decide his fate they meant let him go or kill him, the crowd would raise their thumbs, meaning to let him go but if the thumb of the crowds were down or horizontally, it meant to kill him. But there was one for the gladiators
