Roman Empire Downfall

When I had learned about the Roman Empire’s history and their victorious battles/eventual demise. I had thought that there were some some things that the empire’s demise could have been inevitable and some that signaled that the empire was doomed. Out of the various reasons for either surviving or crumbling, I think that there are 3 main reasons that the Roman Empire was meant to be demised. There are a lot of problems that were weighing in on the roman empire but here are the 3 main reasons that in my opinion, that had let to the empire's demise.

First of all, there are Military reasons. 1st of all, the military was undermanned, 2nd of all they had too much territory to guard. They had just too much territory (extending from the Atlantic to the middle eastern Euphrates river) to protect from the enemy armies. They had pretty great road systems but it didn't cut it, the Romans couldn’t be able to communicate quickly and effectively. There were various barbarian groups for example “the Goths” that have had the borders that have surrounded the empire encroached beyond thought. Also, the empire was raided on various occasions. And the Visigoth king Alaric successfully sacked Rome in the year 410. After another raid, the roman empire was living under constant fear and threat for several decades. Then in 476 romes emperor, Romulus Augustus was deposed after the empire was impacted after a revolt by the germanic leader Odoacer. They did not stand a chance in a lot of invasions. Especially when they had enemy soldiers in their army which makes it more easier for said enemies. This was similar to the first reason mentioned above, fewer soldiers = higher chance for enemies to attack
