He later then adopted Commodus to keep him company which everyone though was his bastard son. Commodus later then died in 138 and Hadrian choose T. Aurelius Fulvius Boionius Arrius Antonius known as Antonius Pius and was born in Rome 86. Hadrian later made Antonius adopt 2 young men who were intended to succeed in the years ahead. The one young men was a 7 year-old who was Commodus son name Lucius Aeluis Aureluis Commodus and the other a 17 year-old boy named Marcus Aeluis Aureluis Verus. Antonius later died in 161, which made the young men become co-emperors. On July 10, 138, Hadrian passed away and was cremated, his ashes were then put in his own mausoleum with custom honors. There was a great temple in Campus Martius that was built just for Hadrian’s in his memory in the early 140s.
Hadrian’s was a good emperor he followed his policies that were given to him and even made his own policies to follow. He had a good life by traveling and becoming more known by his literary and his poems and the way he built buildings. His life returning back to Europe wasn’t the easiest for him but at the end he is still remembered to this
