In 1963 Ian Stewart was dismissed from the lineup and became the road manager and continued to be the pianist up until he sadly died in 1985 of a heart attack. On April 16th 1964 the Rolling stones released their first album in the United Kingdom called “The Rolling Stones” The band later released there album in the United States reaching #11 on the Billboard’s album chart. The album was retitled to “The Rolling Stones, England's Newest Hitmakers.” That June they tour the United states for the first time and appear on the television shows The Ed Sullivan Show and The Hollywood Palace.
