I was scared right out of my skin. I was as terrified as when someone realizes death is knocking at your door. We were at Disney World what is known as the happiest place on earth. I was not happy instead I was scared. My dad wanted to ride Space Mountain and he wanted me to ride with him. He must’ve thought I wasn’t scared or old enough to ride a roller coaster. I could not believe he thought an 8yr old was old enough to ride the big boy roller coaster. “No,” I snapped. I was obviously scared. My mom and dad both tried to talk me into riding the scary roller coaster.
“What exactly happens on this roller coaster?” I asked.
“Well, it’s in the dark” my dad replied.

I kept trying to make excuses to get out of line, like I needed to go to the bathroom. The line was humongous, it felt like years once we got up to board the vehicle. My dad said it would be fun and that I would enjoy the ride. I kept thinking I was going to die. Once we boarded our vehicle we went in. My heart went down my stomach I got the first seat. Chills were going straight down my spine. I felt like crying. I was 8 after all. I was still in 2nd grade. Once we started moving I felt like throwing up, but I didn't. We started going up into this weird tunnel. Blue lights were flashing in my face I closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes again, it was dark and we went down the first drop. My stomach went down to my feet. I’m not a person who screams on roller coasters. I just kept my mouth shut. People behind me were screaming and my ears were going to bleed soon. The ride was rocking and bumping I felt like I was going to fly off the ride. We started to slow down I was relieved. Then all of a sudden we picked up speed and we were about to go down the biggest drop on the ride!!! As soon as we were starting to go down my heart stopped beating. Once the drop was over and we were turning and twisting. I didn’t know how much longer I could handle the ride. It started to slow down and we went into another tunnel this time with red lights. I then knew the ride was almost over. Once it was all over I asked my dad “Can we go

When I was about nine years old, my family was debating about going to Cedar Point the upcoming weekend. I hadn't rode many roller coasters in my life at that time because I was only nine. Of course, trying to be manly, I totally agreed with their decision. My parents told me how big the roller coasters are, and how the roller coasters are some of the biggest in the world. I acted like I wasn't scared, and was talking about how I didn't care about the size of the roller coasters.…

This past nine weeks has definitely been a roller coaster. I’ve definitely cracked down more on myself and I’ve learned a lot of things in this time period. I think it really comes down to what I did to do well, the criticism I received on subjects that need tweaking, and occurrences that withhold me from getting the one. In my qualifying events (DI, POI), I seriously tried my hardest to practice and I know that I could’ve done even better.…

We looked at our map, planning our day and looking at the possible rides we would go on.…
