Dear, Stacey Logan, Have you ever been betrayed by your best friends?. In Mildred D. Taylor’s historical fiction novel Roll Of Thunder, Hear My Cry. you and T.J. are best friends. However, I think you should not be friends with T.J. for the following 3 reasons. The first reason is because T.J. is a bad influence on you. The second reason is that T.J. is a cheater. The last and final reason is that T.J. makes fun of you. To begin with, the first reason why you should not be friends with T.J. is because he is a bad influence. For Instance, in the text it states, “T.J. went down to the Wallace Store … stood almost half a mile beyond Jefferson Davis” (Taylor 82-83). In other words, since T.J. went down to the store he knew you were restricted to cross to the Wallace Store. He wanted you to follow him so you could get in trouble with your family. You should not be friends with T.J. because he gives you negative ideas that causes in your family.
Secondly, the second reason you should not be friends with T.J.is because he is a cheater. For instance, in the novel you mentioned to T,J if, “‘ you

is because he makes fun of you. As the author writes, “you some mama’s boy or somethin you gotta do everything your mama tells” (Taylor 73). This points out, T.J. says that you always obey your mother. In reality he thinks it’s a good joke because he does not think about your feelings. You should not be friends with T.J. because he makes jokes about you and you don't want a friend that hurts your feelings in the inside.
In summation, Cheating, backstabbing, and negative thoughts are the three reasons why you should not consider being friends with T.J. These three reasons provide evidence that you should not be best friends with T.J because he has betrayed you. I know that being backstabbed by your friend is a serious problem, but why should T.J. make it more difficult for

Excitement, curiosity, and a certain sense of mystery enfolded me as I read “A Sound of Thunder.” There is a certain way that Ray Bradbury used words that described his story in a way that I would not have thought of. His sense of imagery was not even the best part either, the moral behind his story was also thought inquiring.
