Being a woman in the times of the Renaissance were hard. Back in this period women were denied the same rights men of the time had and also pretty much at the beck and call their husbands. No matter the woman's social class, they were required to perform the duties of an ordinary housewife. The less fortunate women performed laborious tasks with their husbands. \,while the richer, more stable women near the top of the social ladder still had to perform duties such as, cleaning, sewing, and cooking. on the topic of marriage the women of the renaissance period were not allowed to choose who they wanted their partner to be.
