Our Asian students are foreign exchange students from China who are completing their high school education. Therefore, our teachers are committed to providing instruction through preparing lessons that are functional to meeting the individual learner 's needs (Anderson, Lubig, & Smith, 2012). This may include techniques involving lecture, individual work, and collaborative learning. Furthermore, it 's pertinent to the teacher and student learning in the multicultural environment to use course materials that contain relevant and accurate content that is not biased or oppressive towards any group or individuals. Teachers are required to complete documentation and submit lesson plans at least one week in advance to the school 's Headmaster for review and approval. This ensures that the Headmaster has personally reviewed the relevant information before teachers present their lesson. This is implemented to ensure that children are not exposed to unsafe, inappropriate areas of concern that could introduce the children to information that violates the school policies and upset parents (Allbon & Williams, 2002). It helps the school to avoid biases that would otherwise be misinterpreted. Therefore, efforts are made to follow policies and ensure child safety for all students in the school from preschool to high school seniors. However, depending on the lesson and how it relates to the course study, exceptions can be made with the approval from the student 's parents. Documented letters are either sent home or emailed to parents directly requesting permission. Another perspective that is implemented in class is to invite the school 's students to share their own thoughts about the process but do so with regards related to the course lesson plans. Integrating the children 's thoughts into the process opens insight into exploring additional ideas and developments from diverse cultures where others participating may not be
