Roles And Responsibilities Of Project Design
Their role is to ensure that the geological factor effecting engineering works are identified and dealt with. They will assess the integrity of soil, rock, groundwater, and other natural conditions prior to the project. The main role of site investigation party will access with geological maps and aerial photographs to advice on site selection. It will assist with design of built structures using specialised computer software or calculations and then collect data from those calculations and produce report. It will supervise the progress of specific contracts, site and ground investigation. It will make visit to new project sites. It will plan full field investigations by drilling and analysing samples of deposits. It will advise on and test a range of construction materials for example sand, gravel, bricks, clay and on problems such as subsidence. It will make recommendations on the suggested use of a site and provide information. It will ensure assure that the work is performed as required by the contract and meets or exceeds the required qualities. It will assure the acceptable quality of materials, processes, and workmanship in the project. It will assist the quality assurance and quality engineer such as steel reinforcement checking same as in construction drawing. It will issue materials receiving report for the delivered materials. It will also deal with waterproofing checking underground water level. It will complete the required documents to the work performance. It will ensure all the test reports are verified to meet the contract requirements. It will ensure all the materials to delivered to site will inspected and confirm to specified requirements.it will report to the project manager any deficiencies in the operation of quality management and control system.
