According to a valid point made by the article “Do games like ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Cause Real-World Violence?” as more and more brutal video games are released, fewer and fewer aggressive offenses have taken place. The statement probably refers to the fact that gamers are probably too busy and focused on their games, to step outside and commit a felony. This is often the case in an average day of a young gamer, which points to the evidence that violent video games do not have an effect on violent crimes. While this may be true, it should be acknowledged that there is no agreement amidst criminologists about the cause for decrease of violent crime. In fact, they are led to believe that “it’s probably a combination of factors.” (Dashevsky) Despite this, we need to accept that violent crimes have been dropping ever since violent video games were …show more content…

He planned on targeting his victims at the airport, but he realized that he would not be able to take a water gun past airport security. So instead, he took precaution and used squirt fish to eliminate his victims instead. Through this game, the students learn the valuable lesson that they need to be aware of their surroundings - this applies to both the victims and the perpetrator -. In this case, the attacker was cautious, and took extra precaution, because he was well informed that airports are certainly no place for guns. (Martin) One other lesson that is illuminated through the practice of video games is that science is deprived of new people, which means there are barely any new ideas. However, gamers are finding themselves contributing to some of the greatest breakthroughs in science through a video game. These gamers could be the next generation’s scientists, biologists, and astronomers. Thanks to these video games, they are finally applying themselves, and recognizing their true
