It is the way we all see a thing. Not necessarily together, but how a thing unfolds before us. It is no different in the roles that are walked out everyday in the workplace or otherwise. It is imperative that every individual understands what his or her role is for a particular job. The communication for this is very important and is a necessity for people of all ages. Otherwise, confusion can set in and what is truly expected will not come forth and dispute can enter in. While reviewing the article, it was discovered that leaders, managers and employees have expectations of each other’s roles, but on the level for which they are on (Otara, 2011). Learning from each other and being motivated are essential to the success of understanding what is expected. Roles need to be clearly defined and understood. When employees understand what is expected of them, they tend to be successful at their jobs as they know they are making a difference and reaching the end result of what is expected to get the task done. The Bible is full of various roles, communication, their process and the results thereof. The Lord allows us to see the interaction of the role process of the people living during various times of history ex. Moses, Aaron and Joshua to name a few. They all had a major part in”their roles”, Moses and the Israelites, Aaron as his helper and Joshua as the warrior he was. God was clear in their roles and what they were to do and they walked out their roles.
Proverbs 22:29 (NKJV) asks the question…Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before unknown men. When what you do is clear and you are able to excel at it, it is seen, job function continues to increase and it allows you to be able to be elevated in time. You can only excel in your work when you know what it is that you are to do where your job is concerned and you are doing it with great outcomes. Our work will speak for its self and how well you understand what you are to do and the end results from the task at hand will determine how you excel and continue to excel on every level
