A women’s role in Nazi Germany was to provide more children to fill the Lebensraum. Some historians argue whether they resisted the Nazi regime or if they conformed to their policies. Matthew Stibbe, an entrepreneur and author; says the historical writings are just as controversial as the German resistance. Stibbe even quotes Ian Kershaw on supporting the history of resistance was a main role in Germany’s self-image. This in other words brought out the political consciousness and the value of the population in Germany. Like stated before, Hitler was wanting to fill Germany with pure Germans. Each historian has shown their point of views on what a woman’s role was in Nazi Germany. Women stepped up to the plate to help fill the lebensraum. Hitler had one goal in mind at the time and it was to fill Germany with pure German people. Women stepped up when the men went to war and started working, teaching their children how to live properly in society. Women were the leaders of the pack while the men were gone. Some were scared of Hitler and his ideas for Germany, so many did not resist, but the ones who did were the ones who changed the role of women while Hitler was in power. In conclusion, women were used and taken advantage of. Women were strongly encouraged to have at least four children and even when they did do that they had to release their husbands so they could go have more children with other women. Women had to raise their children in this environment and you can only imagine how corrupt these children had to have been. Fathers leaving to be other women. Women in my opinion did step up and do what they supposedly needed to do but I think it could’ve been done a different
