Suicide Rates in High Professions
Any job you’ll have will be stressful at some point. Whether it is being a doctor, professional athlete, musician or scientist; jobs are stressful. Money is a big part of having a stressful job. It is not the only thing, there’s also long hours, high client demand, and other emotional trauma from the job. There is a certain life style everyone wants to live. If you don’t make that much money you will not be able to reach that lifestyle goal you want to achieve. Some jobs with a high suicide rate are doctors, dentist, financial workers, lawyers, police officers, real estate agents, and farmers.
There many reasons why people commit suicide. They could be depressed, have a mental illness, have been or are being abused or going through a loss. There are many other reasons, but those are a few. …show more content…
There’s psychotic depression, which is when a person has severe depression and is also delusional and hallucinates. There’s postpartum depression, women usually get this type after having a baby. Not all women have this depression after child birth. 10 to 15 percent of women experience it. There’s seasonal affective disorder (SAD), which is most common in the winter when there is less sunlight. The depression usually goes away in the spring and summer when it starts to warm up and the sun is out a lot more. Light therapy helps about half of the people who take the therapy. But that alone does not always help. A combination of anti-depressant pills and other treatments with the therapy will start to help the person with
