In healthcare, the stakeholders consist of any entity who is integrally involved in the organization. This includes the patients, physicians, employers, employees, government, and insurance companies. The relationship between the stakeholder and the organization is rather complex. The focus and goals of each stakeholder can be different. For example, the insurance company has a focus to maximize stakeholder wealth which is the same as the employers (Soares et.al., 2012). Neither the insurance company nor the employers should be completely profit-focused but more on the nature of their services.
