List the various stakeholders in an ACO (MC or otherwise) and explain the positive aspects of an ACO from their perspective.
There are many stakeholders that play main role and affect on an ACO; however, the following is the big three stakeholders: Patients, Providers (physician, nurses, physiotherapist, etc.) and Payers (the third party or health insurance company). As we have discussed in the previous class, there are also some stakeholders in the ACO, such as Pharmacy, Long-Term Care, Home Care, Public Health Agencies, Hospice, Hospitals, and Post-Acute Care. At the end, all these stakeholders work together to treat patient well.
