I have had some amazing family members. I have always been very close to both sets of grandparents. When my Mother 's parents passed away it devastated me. To this day, I feel as if they left the world entirely too early. I have had the greatest set of grandparents of all time. On my mother 's side was Floyce, and Harper. On my father 's side is Barbara, and Robert. I am not able to interview my mother 's parents, because they passed away. However, I would like to give you some information because, if it wasn 't for them I wouldn 't be here writing this essay. Floyce was born on June 24, 1933 at a healthy 5 pounds 8 ounces in Dallas, Texas. Harper was born October 28, 1944 at a healthy 6 pounds 6 ounces in Sacramento, California. "A month before my 16th birthday I asked my parents if i could go on a date. They said No, but that i could bring the boy to the house and we could play board games." "The day after he came over I never saw him again. My dad said he scared all the boys away. During my senior year I started talking to a boy named Kenny Thompson." "He was just starting college. We liked eachother, but he didn 't have a car so we rarely saw eachother. During my senior year, Eddie enlisted in the Army and was shipped to Fort Mormouth, New Jersey." "While Eddie was there a man named Robert Hogue(Bob) asked him if he knew anyone he could write to while in was in Vietnam. Eddie gave him my name and address and I received Robert 's first letter on September 21, 1965." "I was excited that a boy wanted to talk to me. We sent 200 letters before I got to meet him in person. I asked my mom and dad if Bob could stay the night, and they said yes. On August 18, 1967 he flew from Vietnam to Baltimore, Maryland. Then he drove to our house in Pittsburg." "That night we got engaged. He had to fly back to Vietnam 2 days later for 6 month tour. On June 17, 1968 we got married. I found out I was pregnant with our first child in October 1968." "Sharon Lynn Hogue was born on June 30, 1969 weighing 6 pounds and 7 ounces. She was born at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She was such an easy baby. She was very smart." "In May of 1972 I found out we were pregnant with our second child. Sharon was not happy. Robert Dewayne Hogue Jr(Bobby) was born on February 5, 1973 weighing 6 pounds 14 ounces. He was born at Baylor in Dallas, Texas. Growing up they tried to kill eachother on multiple occassions.
