In the meeting, the author observed that the members of this committee consist of the hospital administrator, hospital microbiologist as the chairperson, infection control nurse (ICN), infectious diseases physician, and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Then, there was an occupational health physician, risk management personnel, quality assurance personnel as well as representatives from other major departments such as pharmacy, central sterilization, surgery, and environmental services. This multidisciplinary committee meets monthly to report to the hospital administrator and is responsible for supervising program policies implementation and propose corrective actions.
