Dante uses “The Inferno" as a platform to organize human desire into levels of immorality, symbolized through the circles of hell. Similarly, media today offers depictions of love, sex and violence that work to create connections to ordinary people, so that they may make their own decisions on what is socially acceptable in society. Though I do believe media play a major role in creating parallels to human behavior, I strongly believe that it is the consumer whom is responsible on how they handle the information being taken in by media.
