Betrayal, wrath, and envy are seen throughout this story. Those sins shape the story and its characters to the point that everyone becomes enemies. The first sin that shaped this story was envy. After Macbeth was told the titles he would receive by a group of witches, he was delighted however he was also confused. When he learned that the title of King could possibly be given to someone else, Macbeth became envious. To guarantee that he would take the throne, he committed a terrible crime.
