Macbeth was told the future from three gnarled witches. Macbeth was told he will be Thane of Cawdor and he will become king. Macbeth has already become the Thane of Cawdor and all he needs now is to become king. Lady Macbeth has sold her soul just so she can get her husband to become king. Lady Macbeth will do anything in her new power to secure the place on the throne for her love. Macbeth needs to decide to kill the king Duncan or just wait for the king to die. If he waits Malcome would become the new king and Malcom could have kids sending Macbeth farther done the line. Macbeth would be the least likely subject if the king were murdered for two reasons Macbeth is related to the king and he is the host when the king currently stays
