Couch, without a doubt, has to be one of the strongest women I have ever met. As I said before, she has two children, Reagan and JJ . Her husband passed away a few years ago due to a very long battle with cancer. Her husband had gotten sick about a year prior to his passing. All throughout that year, there had been numerous doctors visits and hospital stays. Even through all of the madness that she was going through, she never showed any weakness to her children or her students. When her husband was not in the hospital, she was at school. She never took a break, even if it was offered to her. When her husband passed away right at the end of summer vacation, she had every right and every opportunity to just take a break from teaching to rest and grieve. She, however, never even considered this opportunity. Mrs. Couch came back that school year with the same drive and love for her students that she had before all of the chaos erupted in her life. She never wanted special treatment or attention from anyone. Even at the worst time in her life, she still cared for her children and her students. I envy the strength that she possesses. I still, to this day, look back to that time, and I am inspired by the grace and strength that she showed to everyone around
