Throughout life we all learn to read. Maybe on our own or maybe we were read to as a child. As a youth, I was not read to by a parent or grandparent. My brother Dale read to me when I was little as far as I can remember. Furthermore, when middle school began, I started reading on my own, but only one book made a lasting impression. Since, I was never really read to as a child, I had to learn how to read and write on my own. I believe I would be a more efficient writer and reader if I had someone to teach me while I was young. Two of the boys were able to make it out of the fire, but the other teen did not make it out. One of the teens that made it out of the fire was Andy. Andy was in the passenger seat while the teen that passed away was named …show more content…
In addition, he received help immediately by a therapist. One day the therapist went out of town and the therapist told Andy if he needed any help to call. Andy tried calling him that night and there was no answer. That night Andy’s mom and sister returned home and saw blood leaking from the ceiling. Andy had shot himself because he felt there was no other way to get rid of the pain he was dealing with. Even though, this novel is chilling it is life and it does happen. Third, not being read to as a child puts an impact on an adolescent. On the other hand, I learned a bulk of information on my own. Even though, it would have been easier with help but it is possible to achieve task without help by others. Furthermore, I had to work harder in my classes and study more than most people. Even though, it was difficult I enjoyed learning. There so much to learn in life and theres always new
