Thank you for your post and for your candidness about your physical limitations. I can assure, I know where you’re coming from – I am in the same boat as you are. In many ways I feel a sense of kinship with you, like two peas in a pod! For one, just as I mentioned in my initial post, bedside nursing would be too physically demanding for me. Second, I was fortunate to take on and assume the two roles you have your radar – quality manager and patient safety analyst. Both positions are non-clinical, which suited my physical requirement; but at the same time, still be an advocate for patient safety and quality care. I believe we are at the later stage of our career, where we focus more on strengthening our profession (Yoder-Wise, 2014). Please
