Rohypnol has never been legal because of the seriousness of the drug. Rohypnol is illegal in the Unites States. It is a schedule IV substance under the controlled substance act. Considering the fact that schedule IV lowers potential for abuse, but can still lead to limited Physical or psychological dependences.1977 the U.S sentences the commission increased the penalties associated with possession, trafficking and distribution of Rohypnol. This drug has many adverse effects while taking Rohypnol some patient have no idea what’s happening, which causes them to act and do thing they would not do otherwise. There has been a case where someone has taken the drug and sexually assaulted someone. Rohypnol carries heavy penalties under the Rape
