In the article “Who are the Rohingya” the writer described them as “the world’s most persecuted minority”. Among the Rohingya’s majority of them are Muslim, there is a minority of hindu. There were around 1.1 million Rohingya living in Myanmar. Myanmar is a Buddhist majority country, the Rohingya people are living in that country for centuries. Most of the Rohingya lives in the western coastal state of Rakhaine and have faced a huge lack of basic needs. Since they are being tortured by the Myanmar army, the Rohingya people started to flee to the neighboring countries like Bangladesh, India. They are living in Rakhaine from the 12th century. Many of them tried to get into Bangladesh but they failed to enter the country by Border Guard Bangladesh. It can be said that more than 1000 people were killed. Aung San Suu Kyi, the prime minister of Myanmar also didn’t admit the Rohingya as an ethnic group and she blamed Rohingya for the all violence in Rakhaine. She was also criticized by the whole world for her failure to control over the troops. The UN agreed that the government troops committed crimes against humanity since October 2016. The Suu Kyi government addresses the situation as a terrorist activity and added that a normal inquiry is enough to find the root of the violence. On September 19, she gave a speech on Tv including that, the government is ready to take the Rohingya back at any time but she didn’t tell the exact process. The government also restricted the northern Rakhaine states for journalists, many of them were pushed back by government troops. The international journalist who was in Myanmar, wasn’t allowed to take an interview of Rohingya people who were pre-approved by the government.
