This book is intimately related to the course “Will Rogers’ America.” However, instead of this being a historical biography, it is instead more of a personal account of Will’s life from his wife’s point of view. I felt I learned a great deal from hearing her side of the story, and who better to know Will than herself? Every argument was convincing considering Betty gave personal evidence to back it up with. It was also well supported with several letters and newspaper clippings, even if they were not cited.…

As children viewers watch Sid become responsible and earn positive reward or praise, children can connect the idea of being responsible around the house as positive and may result in improving children self-esteem. The most important message that was received from the episode is that children learning development doesn’t happen in one aspect and the more environments the child learns in, the better for increasing advance learning. In order to accomplish this, they first asked participants to complete a short questionnaire (a version of the Texas Social Behavior Inventory) and then deliver a short speech, to which “raters” behind two-way mirrors gave them either written positive or negative feedback. The participants were then asked a few questions concerning the positive and negative feedback they received and asked which rater they preferred. Results showed that individuals with high self-concept perceived the positive rater as being more preferable, whereas those with a negative self-concept preferred the negative rater.
