CONJURING(The real story) In the cold winter of 1870, Roger Perron moved in with his family in a 200 acre farmhouse. This farmhouse, situated in Harrisville, Rhode Island, provided plenty of space for Roger and Carolyn to raise their five daughters namely Andrea, Nancy, Christine, Cynthia and April. They lived a very happy life at first but they were not aware of the tormenting decade that awaited them. The family started experiencing weird encounters that involved banging or shutting of doors and whispers. Carolyn Perron convinced the others for it to be a hoax. This was however proved wrong and the disturbances turned to hauntings. The girls started undergoing physical contact with something they couldn’t really put a finger on. Pulling …show more content…
Carolyn Perron woke up to find blood oozing out of her calf and a wound which Andrea Perron described as “perfectly concentric circles”. The apparition once appeared at night and screamed at Carolyn saying, “Get out. Get out. I’ll drive you out with death and gloom.” These activities made the Perron family approach the Warrens, the then renowned paranormal investigators. Ed and Lauren Warren had gained quite a lot of fame after their famous investigations on the Annabelle doll and the case of the Enfield poltergeist. The Warrens were quite helpful in unwrapping the mystery behind these activities. According to the history, Bathsheba Thayer, a descendant of Mary Easty was married to Judson Sherman. Mary Easty was a member of the Salem cult who was burned alive with her followers in a church accused of witchcraft. Bathsheba was a doting wife and homemaker but her interest in Satanic cults couldn’t be overlooked. They had four children among whom three died at a very young age. It was unusual because the mortality rate was quite low during their time. Bathsheba was also rumored to be seen sacrificing her baby to Satan. A child was said to be hurt during her care with a wound caused by a sewing needle similar to that of Carolyn Perron’s wound. The folklores also say that she practiced witchcraft. She lived till 1885. Stories say that she died from severe paralysis or she turned to stone, the truth being she died of old age. The Warrens
