On August 8th 1981, Robert and Lynette Federer were expecting their second baby after Diana who had 20 months old. They did not know that the new arrival will be one of the greatest athletes in History. At the Basel Cantonal Hospital in Bottmingen Switzerland, they named him Roger.
In his childhood, Roger showed interest in football. At four years, he began watching and playing tennis when his idol Boris Becker won his first Wimbledon title. After that, he became junior player and finished this stage as number 1 in 1998.
