The relationship between Rodriquez and Hoggart is one of a booklover and a writer. In this regard, Rodriquez has been involved in acting as a booklover and writer where he is drawing the extracts from the Richard Hoggart’s text, the usages of learning, in the section of the achievement of desires. Rodriquez being a reader, he came across the Hoggart’s text that was defining his life as a scholarship boy. In his explanation he described that scholarship boy was a student who was coming from a minor class and working family and who had shined in his initial; past social position through using his educational talents which were unique. The boy was involved in being motivated to have separation from his father and mother and family due to variation in the cleverness. What was important to the scholarship boy was the obtaining of the quality education. This made him to heaps of the books hence books becoming his best friend.
