Rodriguez Family Case Study

Family: Gina is a 5 y/o female who resides in South Amboy with the Rodriguez family. When Gina was first placed in the Rodriguez home she displayed some challenging behaviors (i.e. (i.e. grabbing her vagina, hitting daughter, being disrespectful to resource grandmother, she will take off running when she is out in the community and walking up to strangers). Gina would also become very anxious and fearful whenever the caregiver leaves the house. Gina would expresses to Mrs. Rodriguez her fear of her (Mrs. Rodriguez) not returning or being away for a lengthy amount of time. Since Gina has been working with Dr. Hubbard, therapist in Trauma Focused Therapy a lot of fear and anxiety has decreases and she has made some improvements in her behavior in the home and community.
At this time Gina has had a visit with her biological parents in about four months. Supervised visit with Gina parents is very inconsistent. It appears that Gina does not ask to visit her parents. DCP&P will

Youth was diagnosis on 6/7/17 by Dr. Tawanda Hubbard, LCSW. Dr. Hubbard continues to provide in-home Trauma Focus Therapy sessions to Gina and she continues to work with Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez providing them family therapy. Dr. Hubbard continue to work with Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez on giving Gina behavior expectations (i.e. listening, using manners, being polite, and respectful, setting boundaries and rewards system). Since she has been working with Dr. Hubbard Gina behavior in the home has improved. She still has her moments where she does not follow the rules or caregivers directives but she is more aware of the consequences (i.e. time out, no tablet or TV) for her negative
