In the book “Freak the Mighty” by Rodman Philbrick, Freak is revealed as a greathearted, courageous, inventive, and sagacious character through interactions with other characters, such as Maxwell and Killer Kane.

One example of an interaction where Freak gets revealed is on pg. 77 where Maxwell could not answer a question. The kids in the class started taunting him, but then Freak intervenes and says, “Order in the court! Let justice be heard!” This shows that Freak is greathearted because he steps up and defends Maxwell.

Another example of an interaction is on pg. 86 where Freak and Maxwell are devouring American chop suey, and Freak finishes. He then asks for more chop suey and says to Maxwell, “I beg of you, sir, more gruel!” This shows
