Achieving the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship would benefit my family tremendously since I am planning to go to the University of St. Thomas in Houston which is a private 4-year university meaning it will costly compare to public postsecondary institutions. Additionally, the scholarship provides a 5,000 dollar four-year renewable scholarship and it will be a great financial assistance towards my tuition to strive for Bachelor’s degree. I need this scholarship to help me fund for my attendance to college. Due to my parent’s income, I will not receive a substantial amount of financial aid because their income range is not considered to be financially need based which many scholarships look for.
