Rocket Science is considered one of the hardest fields in engineering today, but for someone as obsessed as me, undergraduate education seems decades away. This obsession towards rockets had forced me to invest my summer towards ascertaining more about my growing interest in rockets. As an extreme test, I took on the challenge of constructing one, from scratch, …show more content…
There were days when I had lost any inspiration about rockets, but on others I would predict a successful launch coming up. However in the end everything felt worth it. The dinner table was where I would share the status of my project with my family to receive any encouragements on bad days and praising on successful ones. During the scavenger hunt for perfect metal to construct the frame of the rocket, I learnt to appreciate the potential of every piece of scrap metal. Understanding that 3.2 million tons of metal which is wasted in United States every year can be reused, would soon become critical to human survival on earth. I knew there was always a small spark inside me which had guided me all the way through, but the day I connected my rocket boosters to the engines, it developed into a mature fire. My desperation to see my hard work to life and the fire inside me provided the enthusiasm to work hours on trot on something which would one day carry humans to mars. With the last bolt in its nut, all I needed was to catch good sleep for the big day tomorrow. Howbeit, even with my eyelids growing heavy, the adrenalized me could not sleep even a millisecond, as I would picture different scenarios that could betide
