At my school, Early College Academy at Southridge, our clubs are student lead giving students the chance to show leadership skills and create community service projects for our clubs. In junior year, I created a club called the Rock ‘N’ Roll Club. In the club, the members appreciate the historic genre of rock and roll as well as enhance our skills in instruments and vocals. I created this club to give students at my school a chance to have an opportunity to try their hand at playing instruments they never get the chance to play, as well as improve their vocal skills with their fellow class members by peer critique, duets, acapellas and solos.
